So, we made it to Taiwan safely! It was quite a long adventure though, and not always very fun.
This, or actually yesterday, morning we met at DFW all ready and reered to go. After Loretta gave us some last few tips about toasting etc. she sent us off! I don't think anyone really realized where they would be by the end of the next day, it hadn't quite set in.
The first few hours of the 13 hour plane ride were pleasent. We laughed and giggeled at the Japanese and took lots of pictures. I would upload a few now but my comptuer isn't connecting to the wireless service here, so I have to use the family computer. It's a bit confusing because it's all in Chinese buit I think I'm figuring it out. Rose, my host, says that when her brother comes home tomorrow he will have it fixed.
Anyway, although the plane was a drag, especially the second flight, it has been amazing being here, even for just these first few hours. It is soo different from Dallas! I was really tired until I saw how much there was to look at and I could not fall asleep。 Sorry about the font change, it was trying to write in Chinese, and this is kind of confusing! The streets are so narrow deeper into the city and there are mopeds weaving in and out of all the cars。 I can’t wait to get out and go to the schools tomorrow!
I think I’m using their computer too much, so I’m signing off now!
